Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed the his packet and reviewed the main concepts that I felt were the student's weakest during the exam."
"We reviewed mostly political concepts of geography, including boundaries, borders, types of economies, and the nature of expanding and collapsing national borders."
"We reviewed some thesaurus words, read about crime and punishment in Revolutionary America, and read a chapter from "Humphrey the Hamster.""
"The student and I met tonight and talked about Keq, pH, and the Henderson-Hasselbach equation. I am going to continue working with her tomorrow, and we are going to have a full session, as I now have full access to her course materials. We are going to continue preparing for her test next Wednesday up until that time."
"The student did good, much better than I would expect for person that hasn't taken the test. We spent the day going over the structure of the test and how to read the questions. We started with the science section and covered test taking from a test makers perspective. Then we moved into a bit of the math. I gave him a practice test to gauge where his abilities are."
"In today's session, the student worked on simple, basic addition, and did well. He prefers when I put up addition problems with the number of balls or pictures to be able to count. He did great on his sight words today, and reading simple sentences with those words. We reviewed the words and sentences and simple story several times. I am also sending them to his mom so he can read them to his sisters. He did a great job."
