"The concepts we covered were: right triangle trigonometry, degrees and radians, converting between DMS and decimal degree form, finding angular and linear speeds, finding areas of sectors, and trigonometric functions on the unit circle."
"The student and I covered exponential and logarithmic functions, graphs, equations, and word problems with simple and compound interests. He initially struggled a little with the compression of logarithmic functions, but we cleared the confusion after practicing a problems a few times."
"The student and I covered probability, including permutations, combinations, and combinations and permutations together. Everything went really well. I explained how to do a few problems, and she was able to follow and do problems on her own. The combination and permutation problems were a little tricky, but she was able to work through them."
"The student and I covered rationalizing irrational denominators, concepts of logarithms, and trigonometric functions. These were the concepts that she was struggling with the most. She had an open mind and showed a lot of foundational knowledge about the topics discussed. I showed her how to multiply the irrational denominator by its conjugate pair in order to rationalize the denominator. We also discussed using a table and substitution to graph a logarithmic function and proved the derivation of some of the trigonometric functions."
"The student and I covered Section 3.4 of her textbook. It was based on using logarithmic and exponential functions and solving for the variables within them. She understands it very well and we did many examples on them. She only made one mistake which she corrected very quickly. We are going to start reviewing for her final tomorrow."
"The student and I covered sin, cos, and tan addition properties. Her attitude toward the material was good. I included strategies that would help her find angles well when using the process that she is learning to calculate angle values and x and y values."
