Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student received a 7/10 on his last quiz, mainly because he ran out of time to work on the second problem. Today we worked on the homework from the new chapter focusing on double integrals over rectangles, iterated integrals, and double integrals over general regions. The student did well overall. There were a couple of problems where he needed some guidance in integrating since it's been awhile since he has done integration. Other than that, he seems to fully comprehend the concept."
"The student received his Chapter 2 quiz back and got a 23/24! We were very happy with the results. He has a test on Chapter 2 tomorrow, which is modeling with quadratic functions, so we did the study guide and reviewed the major concepts. Next time we meet, we will review his chapter 1 test. He is able to retake the test, so we will work on mastering those concepts."
"The student reported high marks on her recent reboot and concept check. We reviewed minor errors made on both assignments and confirmed good understanding of concepts tested. We then discussed and solved problems covering new concepts, including adding/subtracting unlike and like fractions. The student completed homework assignments for Section 2.7 and reviewed difficult concepts and calculation errors."
"The student reviewed dividing a whole number dividend by a decimal divisor. Each time that he works on these problems, he gets a bit more confident. I was sorry that the technology for me was problematic, and we had to cut our session short."
"The student reviewed for his quiz on lines, which included graphing lines and linear inequalities, writing equations in slope-intercept form and in point-slope form given various information, and modeling real world situations with a linear equation via word problems. He seemed to know his material really well! He knows the special cases (horizontal and vertical lines)! I can't wait to hear how the quiz went."
"The student seemed to have a good memory when he redid problems he had seen his teacher explain before. Even though he was initially confused about trig substitution, he ended the session solving a problem really well. More practice will definitely be helpful!"
