"We did a final review of geometry, mostly focusing on constructions, but we touched on proportions too.Proportions for sides of similar triangles were a little tough. I figured he needed the reminder so I gave him a couple practice questions. When he sees it on the test he should be fine, so long as he remembers our practice today. He was positive today. I could tell he was eager to start the test and a little nervous. I don't think his nerves will be too much of a problem though.I made sure to remind him of a few things he's struggled on in the past (I tried not to remind him that he struggled in the past) so his brain would be primed for any questions related to those topics. No extra practice. No scores/grades.It was a good review, I think if he remains calm and patient, and really uses his notes, he will do well on the exam."
"We did a review of chapters one through six, making sure that the student still remembers the topics that he learned months ago. He still needs a little bit more work on proofs. After that, we did an algebra review on factoring polynomials. He remembers the basics of solving proofs."
"We did an exam review. We covered the definition of radians, conversion from radians to degrees and vice versa, circle angle measure theorems and segment measure theorems, and polygon angle measure theorems. The student did a great job comprehending radians, considering it was the first time she'd ever seen the system of measure."
"We did an overview of Algebra topics including combining exponents and matrices. We also worked through a geometry problem set that included similar triangles and applying skills in solving word problems. He had a positive attitude and seemed excited to learn."
"We did an overview of geometry in a nutshell. I tried to give the student a rough idea of what geometry is about as a whole. Then, we worked on the first 2 sections of her geometry book. We talked about points, lines, and planes. We also talked about rays and the distance between 2 points. She is a good listener. She works hard and concentrated during the whole session."
"We did more geometry work today! We did lots more SOHCAHTOA work, plus all the parallel lines theorems. The student is exacting, which is inspiring."
