"Within math, algebra word problems continue to be the main problem area. Tonight I just wanted to make sure that we didn't need to focus anywhere else so we worked on quantitative mechanics to ensure that we can focus singularly on algebra word problems (while reviewing and cementing his progress with reading comp)until he takes the test in a week."
"Completed study for English final. Wrote a thesis and primary body paragraphs with evidence for each of the 5 remaining essay topics. Explained building a thesis techniques under pressure, where to find evidence for each essay, how to structure an essay in time, and gave examples for each."
"The student and I went over a few problems she had left over from Chapter 8, which was momentum. Most of her questions came from the Impulse section, and when she figured out the proper equation, she was fine. We then moved back to Chapter 9 and continued to pick out problems."
"The student went through a practice math test while I timed her to give her a better understanding of how much time she spends on each question. She was speedy and finished with time to spare. I was very impressed for her first time completing this exercise. We still need to finish interpreting the exercise and go over the last 20 questions or so."
"We went over topics for a test that the student had the next day. This included graphing exponential functions, rules involving exponents, scientific notation, and simplifying expressions. She seemed to have a much improved understanding of the material after we went over it and was able to do various problems that I gave her."
"He completed math homework assignments, and we reviewed greetings and people (teacher, friend, mister, missus), days of the week, months and vocabulary for places in school."
