"Today, the student and I completed another Spanish lesson. We focused on conversational Spanish and incorporated words from his vocab sheets and verb sheets. Likewise, when words came up during conversation that he was unfamiliar with, we wrote them down on flashcards so that he can study them. He did very well today and has shown tremendous growth in his ability to express himself and to understand someone else in conversation. He occasionally confused 2nd and 3rd person conjugation forms when talking, and he tends to confuse the third person singular and plural forms, but we make corrections during the conversation and look over the verb sheet if necessary. We spent time practicing his newer vocab sheets (tomar, beber, hacer). For homework, he is going to look over his new vocab words and start working on memorizing numbers."
"Today, the student and I continued to review present tense verb conjugations. We also continued to study the differences between ser and estar, looked at some new vocabulary about food and animals, reviewed the command verb tense, and reviewed how to make a sentence a question instead of a statement. He seems to be improving on learning how to conjugate verbs and making sure that nouns and adjectives have the same endings. The thing I stressed most to him was daily practice; like golf or anything else, the only way you can learn something thoroughly is to practice at least for a few minutes each day. I urged him to continue to use the language app, as this application applies a lot of repetition to help concepts stick."
