Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student seems to be doing very well with trigonometry. Most of the work that we did revolved around finding the inverses of provided ratios from triangles of work problems. His exam is coming up soon. We only spent an hour during the session because he works through the problems that quickly. Great job!"
"Today's session with the student went really well. We focused on finishing his review packet for his upcoming end of term exams. It involved basic trig and solving a few wave problems. He isn't having any trouble at this time. He always has a great attitude towards our meetings. Our last problem was a proof on diameter = sin A/a and he is going to finish the proof as his extra practice."
"We have studied 5 different types of questions that will be on her Quiz tomorrow. We have analyzed inverse trig functions, composed trig functions by drawing a right triangle in a correct quadrant, and find the answer either in a ratio or an angle form. We also reviewed; find the domain and range for each given specific trigonometric function, which provides us a set of numbers or angles. I brought an extra worksheet for each case and she worked on those as well."
"We worked on preparing for the student's upcoming math test. To do so, we reviewed the homework problems she was given, reviewed previous homework, and discussed her day's math app problems. She has a firm grasp on exponents, and I am confident she will do well on this test. Her mistakes on previous homework all involved a mistake with understanding the instructions, which we discussed."
"We covered math problems from homework: graphing quadratic locations using axis of symmetry, and story problems. Next week we'll look at the worksheet and pick out the story problems to focus on before we begin."
"We covered line equations, point-line distance, and some properties of the dot product. The student was able to acquire the new solution methods using a visual approach."
