Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During our session today, I assisted the student with his reading comprehension homework, which he performed well on. After, we practiced math problems and he also demonstrated a good understanding of the concepts. However, he did struggle with understanding the difference between odd and even numbers, but after practice, he eventually understood the concept. Overall, he had a positive attitude towards the session and enjoyed solving each problem."
"During the session, he and I worked on his math homework. His math homework was on multiplying 3 or 4 digit numbers by a 1-digit number using partial products. He understood the concepts and was focused throughout the lesson."
"During this first session, the student and I primarily discussed the topics of multiplication tables (6-9) and factor trees. She did quite well. She completed two worksheets with minimal mistakes. She maintained a positive attitude throughout the session and worked hard to figure out the answers to the problems. Next time, I plan on talking about 8 times tables, increasing the speed with which she is able to answer multiplication problems, and working on some early division."
"During this session the student and I worked with manipulative fraction towers to explore equivalent fractions. By the end of the session she was able to define equivalent fractions and use the fraction towers to find equivalent fractions for a given fraction. She shared her progress report, and she has done well in this first reporting period."
"During this session we worked on multiplication facts and multiplication word problems. The student was able to identity why the problem was multiplication, which is a huge win! Every week she is making significant progress."
"During this session, I continued the math drills with the students. We also worked on reviewing lattice math, student one was able to complete the exercise with 90 % accuracy. Student two needs to work on completing the drill with consistency in order to achieve accurate results. I gave student three a place mat to work on numbers 1 through 100. He should complete the practice daily. He also worked more on the ee and ea family."
