Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we covered all the material from the student's class this semester to prep for his final exam. Overall I'd say he is ready for the exam, but he needs to continue to review the problems in his study guide."
"We worked through several problems in calculus, including some summation, Riemann sums and area under the curve estimations."
"The student had a test the next day, so we spent the session working on her review that covered mostly calculating the inverse of functions and functions within functions."
"The student and I covered converting both points and equations from rectangular form to polar form and vice versa. She had a strong grasp of the material and was able to get through most problems with minimal trouble. We spent some extra time at the end on material that we worked on Monday (finding equivalent polar coordinates) because she needed help somewhat with it, and she has a quiz on that tomorrow. By the end of the session, she was consistently getting correct answers and doing so much more quickly than on Monday."
"We covered arithmetic and geometric sequence/series. We used the test study guide to prepare him for the test tomorrow. The student struggled in proving using induction in the beginning of the session, but soon was able grasp the process. The student was willing to improve on what he lacked on. I left him my notes so that he can use it as a guide when working on his study guide. My only concern is that the student should make sure to have plenty of practice to ensure peak performance."
"The student finished a few problems from an exponential growth and decay packet. She worked on that in class today. We reviewed her recent test on logs. We worked on three example problems on exponential growth and decay for an upcoming quiz. Finally, she completed a worksheet on solving log equations."
