The student and I went over how to graph functions and find their horizontal/vertical asymptotes and holes, and how to determine the behavior of a function's graph. The student said he was having trouble visualizing the graphs, especially on the more complicated functions. After breaking down the process step-by-step, he seemed to be able to further understand the graphs. In tomorrow's session, I plan to review today's work, begin logarithms, and help encourage the student to not be afraid to say he doesn't understand something.
