Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student is actually doing really well with the new material. They started learning antiderivatives which she had no problem with. They are also learning about how to calculate the area under the curve of a function. She had a little trouble with this but once we went over it she did fine. We also worked on a few review problems from old material. She did well with these but will definitely need a refresher on some of the old concepts."
"Today, the student completed his last speedback assignment for his online math course. We went through the book together to find the formulas needed and I checked his work by working each problem with him. He ended this assignment with a 100%."
"The student and I studied for her test on Friday. The main topic we covered is finding relative extrema of functions. She picked up the concepts quickly and I feel that she is well prepared for her exam."
"Student 1: Reintroduced basic concepts of trigonometry--finding sides and angles with one given side and angle. Progressed through to an intermediate level. Attitude: Excellent. Student 2: Parallels and transversals using Kuta Software exercises. Attitude: Excellent."
"We worked on topics including radical function and rational exponents. The student was full of energy and wanted to learn the material. He finished the assigned homework problems. I recommended he do more problems to be familiar with the radicals and exponents. The student understood most of the material. He needs to do lots of practice to make sure not to commit small mistakes."
"The student is a very dedicated and smart. We covered pre-algebra topics, specifically reviewing her homework due the next day. She had difficulty with some of the homework questions, so we are working on the specific gaps to address those types of questions. Her mom and school teacher are very interested on her progress, so I am optimistic we to see her grades coming up soon."
