SAT Tutoring review by Min in Greene County, OH
SAT math and verbal were covered. Student was focused on problem solving and asked good questions, which allowed me to restate the problem better. My strategy of when there is no solution to a linear set of equations is that the lines are parallel; therefore, their slopes are the same. Student is becoming more proficient through problem solving and being vocal about understanding.

She worked much better today. We completed 12 problems. She continues to struggle with information that should have been learned, such as multiplying variables with exponents and working with (i). She was reminded to continue working on the pre-test and prepare questions for the next session.

SAT Tutoring review by Megha in Greene County, OH
Since most of the SAT Math material was covered in previous sessions, the student took a diagnostic exam again to assess how much was learned and what areas of the math section need to be improved. Again, some weaknesses pinpointed were imaginary numbers and some advanced algebra, but other than that, the student looks like she's in good shape for the math section. She feels confident about the material as we begin to brush and wrap up the math section for the upcoming SAT. Missed questions from the diagnostic exam were worked out for the student's review.

Since the student is taking the PSAT this week, we discussed the format and how it differs from the SAT. We worked through both math sections, which she found easier than the SAT, although more calculation intensive. One strategy we employed was choosing constants for equations to make interpretations easier.

SAT Tutoring review by Chelsea in Greene County, OH
Since the student is taking the SAT next weekend, we focused only on that test today. I gave her a strategy overview of every section, including timing tips. Then we did some practice questions for Reading and Language. Tomorrow, we will focus on reviewing any grammar rules and math topics she has forgotten. Then, I'll give her advice for situations she might encounter on test day and how to adjust the baseline strategy in each section if need be.
