SAT Tutoring review by Nick in Georgetown, TX
Today we tried to go over each section equally. There is definite improvement in the grammar section, and seemingly some improvement in the math and reading sections though it is harder to determine. Vocab is still a major issue.

SAT Tutoring review by Manutej in Georgetown, TX
The student took two diagnostic tests. We went over one of the diagnostic tests and focused particularly on the critical reading and writing section. In the critical reading section, we covered sentence completion and the appropriate strategies to tackle these types of questions. Also, we went over a two-passage section in great detail, including how to read & answer the questions.

SAT Tutoring review by Rachel in Georgetown, TX
Today we mainly did some diagnostic work. The student has good problem solving skills for math, but could use a review of many of the concepts tested in the SAT. She was quite strong on the grammar section. Critical Reading seemed to be the most challenging, especially when it came to vocab. I gave the student some resources, told her to practice 5 minutes daily, and to read one-two articles.

Focused on medium level difficulty math problems, especially ones involving 30-60-90 right triangles and 3-4-5 right triangles. Also some review of elementary algebra and functions minimums and maximums. We started day with vocab quiz and also spent approximately 1/2 hour practicing for the writing section.

SAT Tutoring review by Gail in Georgetown, TX
The student and I went over his new SAT practice test 4 results, which were great: he's gone from scoring percentages in the 50's to scoring at or above the 80th percentile in reading and writing and both math sections. Next we did a final review, summarizing what he knows about the test content, testing strategies, and so on. I supplied guidelines for what to do and not do in the week before the test and on test day.
