Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"She has a test on Friday covering the ecology chapters of her biology book. Her teacher gave her a review to study so we completed the review together and discussed any topics that she couldn't remember or was having difficulty in. Most of the review covered the vocabulary terms and she did really well with those. She also did extremely well with the biomes. Some of the topics that we had to discuss were the age structure diagrams and the different types of symbiosis. She was really well prepared for her test by the time I left, but I told her to make sure she studied more that night after I left."
"This was my first session with the student. We went over his current academic situation and schedule and discussed goals and approaches. His worst subject is Biology currently, so we will focus heavily on that in the immediate future. He is getting a B in Geometry and English, so those will be covered as well once we have gotten our footing in his biology course."
"In our most recent session, the student and I continued to cover the genetics material that she is going over at school. This week, the new topics introduced included allelic codominance and sex-linked genetic disorders. Similar to last week, she was initially unsure of the material, but began to understand very quickly after only several example problems. We will meet again next Wednesday."
