Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session we worked on recent assignments including moving geometric figures using flip, slide, turn. We reviewed lines and angles from prior assignments. In addition we reviewed adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals and basic addition, multiplication, subtraction and division facts."
"1. Reviewed solving equations involving absolute value symbols. 2. Reviewed conjugates of expressions involving imaginary numbers. 3. Discussed the Law of Sines coupled with finding possible triangle dimensions using SSA. 4. Helped the student calculate the probability involving compound events. He seemed comfortable using the concepts and problems reviewed and was able to articulate what he learned in his own words."
"Today we continued reviewing the slide shows for the speech and language disorders class. In preparation for the student's first check-in, we picked out key vocabulary and processes for memorization and used visual diagrams and representations to check his understanding of these. The student also has an upcoming paper for this class which he may send me for review. He had his first Spanish exam yesterday. Next week we will review the exam and determine if we need to focus more on that."
"We went through a practice exam working on multiple regression today. The first part we worked on was looking through output and interpreting the different variables. She also learned what to do when the question asked about slope versus asking for a "y" estimate."
"For today's lesson, the student and I reviewed her previous exam and went through more practice sessions. As far as blank questions go, she didn't have an issue. She made a few simple mistakes on math questions."
"The main topic that the student and I went over today was telling time. We had only touched on it before, and he did even better with it today. I added in a few more things, and it went very well."
