Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed the errors on his most recently received test. Furthermore, I looked over his homework for the past two days and created practice problems based off of them."
"The student and I reviewed the t-test and solved several related problems. The concept we reviewed included the level of significance, t-distribution, t-critical score, and t-statistic. She understood the key concepts, and primarily needs to complete more examples. We will continue to work on that."
"The student and I reviewed the test for slope intercept and triangle proofs. She showed great improvement with her math test scores from class! We also did some light review based on her chemistry homework."
"The student and I reviewed the test she took on similar triangles. We answered the questions that she responded to incorrectly, and reviewed strategies for answering the questions. She did very well on the test! Then, we moved on to trigonometry related to geometry (sin, cos, tan), doing several practice problems so that she had the opportunity to practice solving trig problems using right triangles."
"The student and I reviewed the topic that his homework was on. I helped him with a few problems similar to his homework problems, and then I introduced a new topic. This was the sum of interior angles of a polygon."
"The student and I reviewed the topics from this past week (volume and surface area) and did practice with circles in anticipation of a quiz this week. We discussed his tendency to rush through problems, which may be a key factor on his upcoming exam. We also did multiplication and division practice with large numbers as he is now always allowed to use his calculator on tests. I think he will be successful on his next exam. We were also able to get his average up from a 79 to a 94!"
