Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We continued working on science today. The student comprehends physics quite thoroughly. He is very precise and neat with his homework. He is currently working on momentum and impulse in an algebra-based physics course. It was a very productive session."
"We covered a few new physics concepts. She had a math test last week. She went over elastic collisions and was introduced to heat and internal energy."
"We covered momentum problems with bullets, blocks, billiard balls and hockey pucks. We also reviewed center of mass problems with multiple objects and kinetic energy problems."
"We went over circular motion and the law of universal gravitation. It was challenging due to the student not having been presented the material in class yet. We discussed the principles in addition to going over the problem sets. The math involved was a bit confusing for her, but we went over several examples with explanations in order to help clarify it. We will get together one more time before her test next week."
"We worked on the conservation of rotational momentum with rotational inertia. He had a positive reaction to the material and seemed to gain an understanding of the process as we worked through problems."
"The student had a review for his physics final. It covered the second semester topics including momentum, energy and work, waves, and electricity. We were able to get from momentum through waves today. His biggest challenge with the material today was recalling subject matter from earlier in the semester, so we went over that in detail. The teacher gave a list of what would make up the free response portion of the test. The student requested I bring practice problems next session. We will also finish the electricity section of the review."
