Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered the skeletal system, including structure and function. Specifically, we covered osteogenesis (intramembranous and endochondral ossification), growth (interstitial and appositional), nutritional and hormonal concerns, and imbalances. We also reviewed bone repair and types of fractures."
"Today we did a physics review for the student's final exam covering electrical charges and forces, Coulomb's law, impulse, momentum, and adding of vectors."
"I tutored the student in kinematics and dynamics, preparing her for the final exam in 3 weeks. It was a productive session."
"During this session, physics topics including simple machines, work, mechanical energy, and thermodynamics were reviewed by working on a final exam study guide in preparation for the final exam."
"We went over balancing equations, finding the molar equivalents at STP and using the PV NRT equation. The student got a 96% on her last test."
"The student and I covered the major concepts of aromaticity, including the requirements of sp2 atomic hybridization, ring structures, and Huckel's rule of numbers of conjugated electrons. We also reviewed some concepts of basic hybridization as an initial step before atoms can form bonds with other atoms. He was very involved and asked questions that strongly indicated his understanding of the concepts. We will need to do practice problems in the near future to cement the concepts further and to demonstrate the real level of his understanding. So far, it is going well."
