"We practiced conversation. We talked about the movie "Hombre mirando al sudeste." The student has an excellent Spanish pronunciation. We just need to practice the verbal conjugations in different tenses and moods. She will watch the movie about Federico Garcia Lorca, "Muerte de un poeta.""
"The student and I went over some of the basics about her course; we also reviewed the vocab that she had to use for her homework assignment; we defined the new words through context clues; finally, we drafted a postcard about her summer trip to her teacher. She worked through the assignment very well, and asked questions whenever she needed further support or clarification. She also shared her class syllabus with me, so that I can stay abreast of assignments and teacher expectations. We are meeting again next week."
"The student and I worked through the future and conditional tenses. We also covered vocabulary from chapter 6: isolation and self-esteem. He has a very good understand of the future tense and is learning how to use the imperfect subjunctive with the conditional and future verb tenses. He is to write a journal entry about himself using these verb tenses and vocabulary."
"The student continues to make strides in her ability to communicate in Spanish. Her vocabulary is expanding, and she self-corrects when she realizes that she is saying something grammatically incorrect. She also continues to notate new words. Her work ethic is great and she will continue to improve."
"The student has a strong grammatical foundation. He needs to practice more to be more secure of what he already knows. I gave him homework to revise different conjugations, so that we can keep practicing without having to consult other sources."
"The student is a heritage Spanish speaker who needs assistance in keeping on track with his online Spanish for native speakers class. He is behind on the homework, and needs some support. His speaking abilities are fairly well developed with some hesitancy and accent, and he could use more vocabulary and grammar review. His reading is quite fluent and good, though more practice in this area would also be recommended. Today, we worked on definite and indefinite articles and on helping Sebhimastian develop some essays on the Spanish speaking world."
