If you are more comfortable learning at home, or a library or cafe will do, your personal instructor will travel. They are Internet-savvy as well, able to meet face-to-face using a live learning platform. We looked heavily into chirality and all of its complicatedness. I highly suggested she locate a model kit to help her with her test today and for coming tests. It just makes life easier. She also looked into reaction diagrams, as a reminder. All reaction diagrams for each type of reaction will be very similar to each other so do not memorize individual diagrams! Just know the basic scheme of each and how to apply it to other problems.

E1 elimination: It occurs in two steps via carbocation formation.. Here the substrate is alcohol, reagent is H2SO4/heat and product are alkene. E2 elimination: It occurs in one step and here also substrate is alcohol, reagent is H2SO4/ heat, and product are alkene. Remember 1,2-Hydride shift or 1,2-Methyl shift occurs to make more stable carbocation so that in the end we are able to get more substituted alkene which is more stable. Best leaving groups are those which have positive charge density so that they can make the bond more polarized and hence more weak and ultimately the bond can be easily broken. We completed doing all the problems related to these topics.

The student and I reviewed gases, going over each of the Gas Laws and the math around them and how to use them, then finished off by doing a number of problems in Gas Stoichiometry. He had to take a little time to refresh his memory in how Stoichiometry worked in general, but once he remembered, it all seemed to come to him fairly well. I'll be back tomorrow to make sure it stuck.
