Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I discussed inequalities and graphing them on a number line. We worked with a number of problems, and continued to walk through each obstacle step-by-step. She had a firm grasp of the material. She is able to articulate what an inequality graph should look like once the problem has been solved. She has a great attitude and was very determined to work through each problem to get to the solution."
"The student and I finished covering the remaining few practice problems that will encompass his upcoming test. It isn't taking as long to cover the material because he is feeling a lot more comfortable with the concepts. I am going to prepare some practice problems for him to go over on Sunday with me. This will ensure he is best prepared for the exam."
"The student and I finished his exam review tonight. We specifically covered how to do these problems with his calculator since his teacher taught him that way and it is quicker. We usually go over how to perform these problems by hand and cover them conceptually as well, but today was more about review and practice for his upcoming exam. I believe he will score well on his exam. He mostly only struggles with forgetting little details along the way of the problem that alters the final answer. As long as he is careful and checks his work, he definitely can perform as desired. Good luck!!!"
"The student and I finished up going over the module 2 review that we started last week. The material covered ratios and proportions. We briefly started on module 3, multi-step and two-variable equations. To ensure we can get through all the material going forward, we are going to meet every day until his exam on Tuesday for at least an hour and a half."
"The student and I finished up unit three, and went over the fundamentals of probability. This was a very challenging concept for him, since this was his first time being introduced to probability. He caught on pretty quickly. This was a productive session."
"The student and I focused on point slope equations today through graphs and word problems. She did very well with step by step guidance and completing her homework for review. By the end of the session, she was able to articulate a better understanding of the material."
