Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed 1/3 of topics for the exam on Thursday. He has a good understanding of the concepts but we will continue reviewing and mastering the nuances of the topics."
"Tonight we did a review of first semester calculus (AP Calculus A). We talked about limits, graphs interpretation, derivatives, and integrals."
"Today we reviewed for the student's final, covering: friction on slopes, tension, falling objects, projectile motion, accelerating objects, and weight in relation to elevation. The student was focused and engaged."
"The student and I spent our session reviewing old exam problems on torque and energy. We started out with a problem on conservation of energy, which she had attempted previously, only to find an underdetermined system of equations. She reread the problem statement, and realized she missed the phrase describing final velocity. She then proceeded with a solution, and worked through another energy problem and a torque problem, using familiar methods. She was more confident about the exam after the session, and we agreed she would comb through problem statements for information."
"The student and I went over his last test in preparation for his final exam. I'm hopeful that with more study and careful work on his exam, he will do well."
"The student and I went over physics problems involving the topics of forces, Newton's Laws, and adding vectors. She was very receptive, and by the end of the session, she was able to solve the problems correctly."
