We spent most of the time on the imparfait, and on choosing when to use the imparfait vs. the passe compose. We went through a story, filling in the blanks with the correct tense, and reviewing along the way irregular conjugations and agreement. I think the student has a clearer idea now of the differences between those two tenses. At the end we did another listening practice. By listening for key words rather than trying to absorb everything, he was able to get all the answers after the second time through.

We spent the session reviewing various conjugations again. The first 30 minutes were spent on the pluperfect, and a little time was spent on subjunctive before confirming that the student needs to review it on his own before he can practice it with a tutor. The rest of the time was spent reviewing the formation of the future simple and then conjugating in future simple and conditional to help him remember the difference in sound between the two tenses.
