Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We continued working through the multiple choice sections of the practice questions. The student knows the material."
"We did a review of functions and domains, the limit theorem, derivation, graphical depiction and manipulation of limits."
"Review for final exam. Equation of tangent line at a point. Derivatives of compositions. Graphing rational functions using calculus as an aid."
"The student and I worked on natural log and exponential(e) problems. We also started working on definite and indefinite integrals. She has a pretty good grasp on integrals and on the logarithmic material. The only thing to look out for is small errors like adding fractions."
"The student and I continued to prepare for his AP exam. We specifically practiced implicit differentiation, related rates problems, varying f(x) f'(x) and f''(x) graphs and relationships, position vs. velocity vs. acceleration, the fundamental theorem of calculus, the mean value theorem, the intermediate value theorem, etc."
"Today the student and I worked on Physics. He had a final review and we were able to get 2/3 of the way through it. It included ideal gas, buoyancy, pressure, and heat transfer. I really tried to hit on the main points of the problem instead of the specifics because the final won't have the same problems. I talked about what happens when something rises, sinks, or stays submerged; how heat must be the same for the gaining subject as for the losing; and how to use units to figure out what to do next."
