"The student and I went over her homework first. She was able to complete it accurately without much assistance. We then went over some of the topics from our last session, including comparing volume. The student and I also went through some of her work from class that she had trouble with. We talked about slowing down and taking her time. There seemed to be several problems where she knew how to do it easily but she rushed and made simple mistakes. It was another great session."
"In our second session, we went through a practice Reading section that she had done over the weekend, corrected it and discussed the ones she missed. Then we spent the remainder of the time going through my grammar/English guide for the Writing section, interspersed with doing practice together from a sample test. I encouraged her to do as much practice as she can where she actively applies all the tools that I have gone over with her."
"We spent half of the time looking at content review, including topics in organic chemistry, and biology such as isomers, nervous system, and more. We then went through several review passages and reviewed the content tested in the passages."
"For today's session we reviewed the most popular types of relationships for analogies and did a lot of practice problems. We also did some practice synonym problems. For math, we reviewed some basic geometry and went through the second quantitative section on her practice test, reviewing the ones she got wrong."
"Today we prepared for the student's upcoming semester final. We went over probability and transforming parent functions. We also worked on solving systems of equations by elimination and substitution. Lastly we learned about the range and domain of Ln and e^x in depth."
"Learned the first conversation in the textbook-- breaking down the grammar concepts and usages and practicing the conversation by role playing. Also showed the student a website of Pinyin practice to practice spelling at least once a week, ten sets each time, and record the result. Showed her how to use her online learning tool to learn the characters from the conversation with the learning set I created."
