Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student is continuing to study areas of trapezoids, triangles, and rectangles. He occasionally needed help with finding the area of a trapezoid, but he is beginning to understand it better. Also, he does a good job of graphing points on an x/y axis and determining the geometric shape. In English he and I are continuing to work on his sentence structure. He is more responsible and is starting to turn in his homework on time more often. His dad and I both are pleased with his progress."
"During this session, we went over questions on inequalities. We reviewed questions he had as well as some that I made up."
"We went over missed assignments the student had. We practiced maximums and minimums as well as reading graphs. We also practiced how to solve for quadratic problems and how to figure out height and distance through polynomials."
"We covered data and statistical analysis. The student comprehended most of the concepts we covered. We will practice matching an equation to a graph utilizing the coordinate points. She had a good attitude during the session. She should continue to apply the strategies necessary to execute the word problems accurately. It was a productive session this morning."
"The student and I worked on finishing up a practice assessment exam test. I had given her "homework" to research a few different topics, and she shared what she learned with me. As a result, she was able to work through some problems on her own, which I believe helped her gain some confidence. In addition, we worked on proportions/the distributive property for the last 30 minutes of the session, and I think by the end, she was feeling more successful than ever."
"We covered the Taylor Series, tests for convergence and divergence, geometric series, and harmonic series. The student struggled a bit with the harmonic series in the beginning; however, he understood the content as we reviewed more practice problems. He had a positive attitude with the material we reviewed today. I gave him various strategies and skills he can apply. This session was a success."
