Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed the numbers and personal pronouns. We learned the days of the week, months of the year, and the alphabet. We will cover the book the student bought next time as well as review what we have learned so far. She was struggling the most with the "ei" pronunciation. She enjoyed the class. We agreed that for next session, she will review everything we have learned so far and listen to the radio in Spanish and practice speaking with Spanish speakers."
"We reviewed content from the first lesson ( the present tense conjugation of ar, er, ir verbs) . We then went over Spanish forms of "to be " , estar and ser , as well as present tense conjugation. We then worked through some translations and reviewed the usage of the present tense within the translations."
"Today we had a conversation in Spanish about what we did over the weekend and then we worked on a few practice problems reviewing the imperfect vs preterite. We then reviewed demonstratives and did a few practice problems using them. We continued where we left off with the preposition de and completed a few translation problems using de. Next we covered en and its accompanying practice questions."
"The student and I covered possessive pronouns, and she completed her worksheet. We also spoke about her upcoming project and discussed the story she is reading in class. I suggested that she start to think about what content she wants to include in her project."
"The student did very well today. We reviewed letters, numbers, and basic questions. Then we went over subject pronouns in Spanish. We reviewed verbs ending in "ar" and she learned how to conjugate them for the subject "I". She has a small homework assignment to practice this."
"Reviewed vocabulary from prior lesson. Identified the indirect object pronoun (O.I.P.). Conjugated the verb gustar. Created sentences using the O.I.P. and the verb gustar. Students produced (3) sentences using: Me gustar + infinitive. Defined the verb SER. Compared regular verbs vs. irregular verbs and the verb (SER). Conjugated sentences with SER. The students were active, and they participated and enjoyed the lesson."
