Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The focus of this session is based on the geometric shapes with a review on Lewis Structure. We briefly went over the different geometric shapes. We then drew the Lewis Structure of each compound and assigned the shapes to them. Afterwards, we determined the polarity of each compound based on its geometric shape."
"During our time together, we worked hard at understanding resonance structures and counting hydrogens in organic chemistry. Although at the beginning of the session there were some fundamental concepts to review, I believe that by the end of the session the student had a very good understanding of those concepts. I really enjoyed this first session together and look forward to working with her again soon!"
"This was my first session with the student. She is an attentive and mature student, a pleasure to work with. She was a bit overwhelmed by orbital hybridization (understandably) and we worked through an old exam of hers on that subject. We also discussed how to draw molecular structures and the bond activities of various elements. She stayed positive throughout the session and was excited when she figured things out. I especially emphasized to work hard on memorization and to not get too overwhelmed by the confusing irregularities in introductory chemistry classes."
