Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on definite and indefinite integration. She seemed to be understanding it by the end, though it's still new material for her."
"The student and I spent our final session doing further review and practice for his final exam tomorrow. He is still very good with taking derivatives, and he has improved with limits and algebraic simplification, too. I think he will do well on his exam, especially if he reviews our work from tonight on his own before the test tomorrow."
"We reviewed maximum minimum, concavity and inflection points. I left him with extra problems on the topics we covered."
"We went over limits of 3d graphs, how to evaluate them when they do exist, and various ways to prove that they do not. We also covered conceptually what fourth dimensional objects look like, and how dimensions are not the same thing as directions."
"We worked primarily with order of operations. Overall the student had a good understanding of it and should be ready for new material."
"The student is diving into his second test with chapter two and he was anxious to get to the homework. To help him practice showing his work, I made him do a worksheet I wrote in which he simply had to write the first step he would take in each problem. I pushed him along, and he got it done. Then we did his homework together, and he did great. It turns out he takes his time on fractions and division, which makes up the bulk of this chapter."
