Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Reviewed for final exam, going over synthetic division, graphing polynomials, and different ways of factoring."
"The student and I reviewed roots, powers, imaginary numbers, and solving for the variable X in various types of problems. In preparation for his exam this Tuesday, we powered through the majority of the study guide solving roughly 20 mathematical problems while also explaining each one thoroughly."
"We finished working on her quantitative math study guide and went over tips for studying for the final. Good work!"
"Today the student worked on his math homework. It was a work sheet involving addition and subtraction of negative and positive numbers. He had a hard time with this. I had to reteach him the rules of addition and subtraction. Once I made him take some note and use the other examples that he knew he had right as a template he did a little better. Toward the end I think he got it."
"Since the student just started learning word problems in class, we did some practice questions. She did well when she drew her number line or circles to represent the objects. She struggles with subtracting, but is understanding the concept better."
"Today we reviewed the unit circle and spent most of the session working on graphs of trig functions. We began by graphing each function separately and going through how it relates to the unit circle. We then worked through some transformations of the Trig function graphs."
