Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I had a good session today. We both worked on finishing up a long article and finally started a new chapter in his workbook. I am happy with how self-confident he has become with speaking out loud."
"Today, we covered parts of the body and how to express illnesses. The girls learned the vocabulary quickly. We also practiced making sentences about being ill and not being able to do activities because of it, such as "I have the flu today, so I do not want to go to school.""
"We went over greetings a bit, then ventured into verb conjugation, and went through many examples of simple sentences. As we went we added in more verbs and nouns, finally adding in "ein" and exploring how the masculine changes for direct objects (accusative case). The student struggled somewhat with the difference between "ich" and "ihr." We will keep going over the areas that the student finds difficult."
"We went over the articles der/die/das and how to use them with a noun (object or person). We also learned about personal pronouns (ich, du, er, sie, es ...) and mentioned that verbs will change with those personal pronouns."
"We worked more on conjugation of verbs today. The student is already starting to get the hang of basic conjugation. I am going to send a vocabulary list for him to work on. He still needs to work on pronunciation a bit, so he should study the alphabet sounds."
"We're almost done chapter 2 now! We finished reading the record texts, and your comprehension is getting to be great! Still more vocabulary practice would help, and that's the student's homework for the weekend."
