We worked on the student's problem set covering the topics of limits and end behaviors of single-variable functions. She has no problems in finding the limits of polynomial functions, but struggles a little when it comes to trigonometric and irrational functions, which is normal since those functions are more difficult to deal with. So I reviewed the behaviors of those functions, and showed a trick called linear approximations for irrational functions (square-root function). We then moved on to sketching functions given its derivatives and vice versa. After some practices, she finally understood the tricks and could make the sketches herself.
