Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student worked on his study guide for his trig test this week. He has a good grasp on the content and I helped him through the questions he struggled with."
"Today the student and I reviewed for her test on Wednesday. As we did more problems, she began to understand the material better."
"The student and I reviewed the graphs of cosine and sine. He seemed to grasp these ideas a lot more easily than he has other concepts that we have covered in our trigonometry lessons. He was able to explain to me the curves of sine and cosine. We did have some difficulties with the difference between domain and range as well as the difference between period and frequency, a topic we will work on in future lessons. We also discussed the basic electricity equations."
"Worked with the student today on finding the area and perimeter of similar figures. I shared content from a website we reviewed. She was able to apply this to her homework practice and used her slope formula and ratios to work with geometric figures. She is studying for a test on Tuesday. I left the notes with her to study and recommended a few websites to use as a resource and practice. She did a great job today."
"We covered how to graph and solve systems of inequalities as well as determining whether a point on a coordinate plane is part of the solution for a system of inequalities. The student demonstrated comprehension of the concepts after several practice problems, but we will review the concepts once again after Spring break. As always, he was eager to learn, showing a positive attitude and willingness to work hard."
"Reviewed angles including their relationships with each other in reference to parallel lines. Also reviewed fractions, conversion of fractions to decimals and percentages. the student scored highly on her most recent Math test."
