...any desired subject. From experience, I find students recall concepts more easily when linked to personal interests or situations. Math and science can be fun when given the chance! In my free time, I love to go to the gym, hike, take dance classes, discover new bands on Spotify, try new coffee concoctions, or watch an endless amount of movies (any and all genres). I'm a very competitive person and I love to play all...

...academic areas for the last 8 years studying, teaching and tutoring. I know how to help students in their specific subject related problems as well as improving study skills. I have studied chemical engineering both in my undergraduate and graduate programs, and because math is the foundation of engineering and used in problem solving, I am also confident in my abilities to help in that subject. I am open minded and easy to talk.... Students are the center of learning. We are facilitators and mentors.

...from my deep understanding of mathematics and its fundamentals. So, I try to tutor students with the goal to have them understand math, rather than just memorize formulas and situations. That way, students will be much more prepared when they approach unfamiliar math problems. My approach turns the math problem into a puzzle, and we use math as a tool to solve it. Though I???m usually working with mathematics, I like to spend my free...

Self actualization and any accomplishments are based on learning and internalizing knowledge. I believe individualized tutoring assists in this goal. Therefore it is my personal goal to assist students by using tutoring methods such as listening to students so I understand what their needs are along with using a multi modality approach to help them progress and obtain their individual learning goals.. I am a nonsmoker so i prefer a nonsmoking household ... Philosophy of Education: Education is the mortar and bricks in which we lay down keys to higher achievement, self-worth, and higher self-esteem. Therefore, knowledge is the key to success. Each student holds their own keys to unlock doors. Once they begin to go through doors, they continue to unlock gates until they begin to reach the goals that they have been continually striving to obtain. Students are the stepping stones to the progressive and prosperous future of our society. Educators serve as the waters upon which they flow - a teacher’s responsibility is to guide them smoothly through the waters of life, by academically and socially nurturing and preparing students, so they can achieve milestones in learning. Ultimately, taking their rightful place among the imminent contributors to: the wealth, social reforms, esteemed citizens, economic leadership, accomplishments and achievements in our nation. In order to achieve their goals, students should perceive education and knowledge, as gifts. With this in mind, though, they may be appreciative of gifts; however, they have to decide if it is useful and what to do with it. I, as a teacher and educator, consider myself a road map. I can give students directions, but they have to decide which path to follow. I believe that each student is a unique individual who can achieve with their own individualized style; utilizing student's' strengths while channeling into their learning modality would assist students in their academic progress. For example, a student who exhibits math strengths could learn spelling by using numbers for letters thus making a math code to learn words. By accentuating fortes, you also help to build students' self-esteems, thereby motivating students to learn, giving them a greater feeling of self-achievement and self-worth.

...in this society. As a student, math was always one of my strongest suits in school. I enjoyed the process of understanding the mathematical concepts and applying them to solve problems. Because I enjoy learning math, I became pretty good at it. Whenever a classmate asked me a math question, I always gladly answered the question and explained the steps behind the answer. I felt very accomplished every time I saw my classmate with an...

Having a degree in chemistry with emphases in mathematics and environmental science, I am meticulous about understanding the material itself as well as understanding why the material applies to you in your own personal life. With this in mind, I hope I can assist you not only in bettering your grades, but also understanding the world around you.... The techniques would vary from student to student. For some students, a logic-based derivation of the material works best (mathematical proofs, scientific research, etc.), while for others, practical application in their everyday lives works best (using mathematics to do taxes, science behind vaccines, etc.), while still others work best with rogue practicing of problems (working problems at the end of chapter, creating new problems, etc.).

I have many passions in life, but none more so than writing and reading. There's something about written words to describe the things we experience in life that I find interesting. The thing about passion is that you always want to surround yourself with people who share that passion. I want to teach students not only how to read and write in an exceptional manner, but also to appreciate the importance of both.

I am a teacher who is passionate about helping students achieve and succeed. Not all students learn the same way so I have to adapt my teaching to provide my students with learning opportunities that meets their needs. The learning should be about the students and what they need.... I believe that all children have potential and they need someone to bring it out. Learning comes in all shapes and sizes. Children do not all learn the same way so we have to reach all of them.
