Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student had a lot of schoolwork today. She took a 15-minute timed portion of the writing section, then we went over the answers and discussed grammar concepts. We will have a grammar lesson during the next session as that's the area most in need of improvement."
"The student and I worked on writing the first couple of paragraphs for her Macbeth essay. Now that we have gotten started, she should be able to use the outline we drew up last week to complete the essay on her own."
"We spent the full time on the math portion today. The student has a good grasp of math fundamentals. On problems that require a bit of critical thinking she understands when it's explained to her and will improve with practice. We'll be able to strategize about when to skip questions or guess, etc."
"First meet and greet to evaluate their weaknesses and strengths. Focused on verb conjugations including ser, estar, comprar, ver, querer. Reviewed for a test tomorrow on vocabulary and grammar"
"During this session, the student and I covered chapters 9 and 10 of her Biology book. We covered inheritance in more detail. We discussed the difference between autosomes and sex chromosomes, how to read pedigrees, and different modes of inheritance."
"We worked on a review of an oil storage project, visually inspected data elements for expected economic relationships, discussed a proposed formula for equilibrium storage price, located relevant data and estimated steady-state price, transformed explanatory variables into useful empirical form, and planned main regression."
