How can a LSAT tutor help you?

Preparing for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) may be nerve wracking. This is the assessment that ensures that a student may be able to get into the law school that they want, and that they may continue along their set academic path. The test may also be tricky to prepare for, since reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, and writing are all analyzed and scored. Studying by yourself may be challenging and unproductive, but you need not practice for the LSAT alone. If you're looking for LSAT tutors in Portland, OR, the educational directors at Varsity Tutors may be happy to help. Your personal tutor may create a lesson plan that concentrates on your individual challenge areas, and practice problems and exercises may be constructed that revolve around these spots. Being able to work one-on-one with your tutor may also try to help make sure that you are able to stay focused and engaged with your studying, and they may be able to provide you with instantaneous help and feedback whenever you need it. As an added bonus, you'll be able to ask any questions whenever they may arise, and you'll be able to properly study for the timed portions of the LSAT.

This was my first session with the student. I spent the first few minutes of our session going over what she wants to accomplish in her exam prep and where she is in her process of studying for it. She said that she is not in a class right now, and that she had just started preparing by going over the first chapter of the book on logic games. She had already familiarized herself with a lot of the tips and tricks that I always go over in he first session, so we were able to move quickly through diagramming and spent most of our time working on a diagramming drill so she could put the skills she learned to use. By next session we will get to working on setting up and working on full linear games.

Today, we continued to review logical reasoning. The student struggled a little more today with some of the question types, but overall, his logic is sound. At this point, his main difficulty is figuring out what exactly each question type is asking. I provided some further clarification on question types, particularly "which of the following, if true..." This should help improve his accuracy moving forward.
