"The student and I spent an hour working on his geometry homework, which was graphing equations and solving systems of equations. We also talked a little bit about what he needs to do for each class to get ready for the final. The two classes in which he needs to make up his own study guides are geometry and geography, so yesterday we reviewed the first 5 chapter summaries in his geometry book."
"The student and I covered using matrices to solve for systems of equations. Specifically, the student was having trouble figuring out where to put the information given in word problems so that she could apply the formula (that she had no trouble remembering.)"
"The student had done really well working on all his prep work. He finished an entire Science and Reading section on his own, and scored a 26 and 27 according to the table in the back of the book, which is an improvement. We focused on Math, because that is the subject where Jacob feels the least comfortable, and I sent him some worksheets to look at on his own. "
"-First reviewed the assignments that the student has coming up. We then worked on converting between pressure units for chemistry. -Afterwards, I started to quiz her and discuss world history. We reviewed the Industrial Revolution, American Revolution,"
"This week, the student and I are reviewing all the math concepts we went over this summer, as well as learning a few new concepts. Today, he reviewed multiplying, adding, and dividing fractions. We also introduced exponents."
"We went over some common expressions in Chinese (thank you, sorry, no problem), and reviewed some of the words we learned from the last class. We also learned some new vocabulary. The student remembered some characters."
