Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I reviewed gas laws, going over each and making sure that the student understood each one and the properties involved. From there, we worked through sets of problems involving the gas laws. I also made a gas law reference sheet for review as well."
"The student continues to work on momentum in combination with energy, conservation of energy and momentum, work and power, and the relationship between forces and work and power. We worked on homework problems involving changes in energy, and we related that change in energy to change in momentum, jolt, and work done on or by an object over a certain distance."
"For today's session, I reviewed with the student for her upcoming AP Chemistry midterm exam. We utilized a released AP multiple choice exam from a previous year that she had been assigned by her teacher as review material. Having already worked through the entire test, we focused on questions that she didn't know how to complete or didn't get the correct answer on her own. Most of the questions we addressed involved reaction balancing, stoichiometric ratios, and relative strength of intermolecular forces. I gave her a few pointers on how to approach these types of problems, and I think she will be better prepared to address them on future exams."
