Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During today's session, the student and I reviewed the properties of isosceles triangles and writing two-column proofs involving properties of congruent segments, congruent angle properties, supplemental angle properties, and properties of equilateral/equiangular triangles. He did really well with each of the concepts, and his hard work really shows with his noticeable progress."
"I reviewed congruent triangles, worked on improving his skills in word problems. Student was working on how to get necessary information needed to solve the problem beyond the obvious . He is making progress. Student showed more confidence and felt he would be ready for the final exam."
"I tried to get the student to do some work ahead of what he needs to do. We got some problems done ahead of his class. He is very good when he pays attention. I will see him again on Thursday."
"I went over all of what the student was struggling with understanding with his geometry proofs and talked about what he should focus on for his test. I then told him to have a great day after he had no more questions."
"I worked with the student on the review for her final mostly covering operations of functions, finding the factors of a function and comparing functions to their sums and products. She was getting a little better but is still gets confused on how to calculate a factor 0 value. She is getting much better on the division of functions. She still needs to work with her teacher on the relationship of x and y in a table and how to develop a function from the information. She had several domain and range questions on the review that she is now able to solve."
"I worked with the student on various figures, using congruent triangles, addition and subtraction of congruent angles, subtraction of congruent side lengths, and CPCTC to find an unknown. I can see that he has improved because we move faster through some of the problems without as much discussion of the properties being necessary; however, he still needs to continue practice, because when school resumes, they will soon move on to other properties."
