Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Reviewed last test correcting mistakes. From there went over his newest set of material involving trig function and worked through the remainder of his homework correcting mistakes and explaining any concepts or processes he was confused about. After that went into test prep for upcoming standardized tests he wanted to review."
"We discussed concepts in trigonometry of the unit circle, graphing sin/cos/tan functions, and applying sinusoidal functions to real world applications. We completed practice problems in the textbook to reinforces these ideas."
"Needed to memorize unit circle. Successfully committed to memory with some helpful hints. Also wanted brief explanation of polar equations. Explained the basics of 2d nav through polar equations. Seems very excited to jump start cal since she plans on biomedical engineering education."
"This session with the student happened to fall during her spring break, but we still had some material to work through. The assignment covered exponential functions and started to hint at the existence of log functions. Although it wasn't technically part of the lesson, she and I looked ahead at log and ln and showed that it exists as the inverse function to an exponential. Everything went really well!"
"We continued going over her chapter review. For this session the student was able to complete most of the problems on her own. We spent a bit of time discussing the difference between the Compass directions and angle measure when working on vectors, but she showed understanding by reworking a problem from our last session. Overall this session went very well."
"We reviewed trigonometry. The student seems comfortable with the subject and was able to perform the problems I assigned to him. We reviewed his grades and discussed some ideas on how to improve his performance in the classroom."
