The student and I worked on worksheets involving circuits and electrostatics. We spent the most time on combo circuits however we also did some problems that specifically focused on series and parallel circuits. I advised him to continue to do some more practice before she took her test on the material. The student and I will have an opportunity to meet again before he has to take the test when we can do more practice if needed.

The student's test tomorrow is on electrostatics and some of the basics of electric currents. We started just by going over the formulas she needs to know and how exactly each one can be used, especially in relation to each other. We then did a bunch of practice problems from her book and came up with a few extra ones that integrated everything she has to know into long complicated problems. She has a very good handle on the material for this test and I don't have any worries about how she is going to do.

The student was going to take his physics test today and wanted to use the last few hours to study practice problems with me. The practice problems range from how an electron reacts when it enters the uniform magnetic field to using the right hand rule to determine the net direction of the magnetic field at some spot due to two straight wires to finding the potential difference when moving a charge from one spot to another and to applying Ampere's Law to solenoids. So the practice problems I helped the student on was a combination of electrostatics and magnetism.
