We went over calculating normal forces in several situations. We even went over formulating several general force equations where the normal force varied using a graph where the angle of the tension force varied. The student did well with this. The student was working on problems of projectile motion and relative velocity. She had a lot of the fundamentals down already, and we mainly had to work on some conceptual hangups regarding how to order variables, choose equations, and set up vector addition. I think we were able to give her some pointers that will help her solve other problems. She should definitely practice a couple more herself to work on setting up and solving.
