Session Summaries by Physical Chemistry Tutors

Physical Chemistry Tutoring review by Matthew in San Marcos, TX
The student and I spent most of the time going through his homework, covering optics and waves. He was a little bit fuzzy on many of the concepts behind the questions, but once we got to the math he had no problem at all solving even fairly complicated equations that came up. As we went through the problems we spent most of the time talking about the underlying concepts and how those related to the math to be solved at the end. This really seemed to help him understand what to do and I believe that future sessions will also really help him develop a good understanding of the class material. I also believe that they will help him succeed in the class.

Physical Chemistry Tutoring review by Lynn in San Marcos, TX
Tonight we briefly reviewed scale calculations (the student is fine with this), then spent the majority of the session on acceleration. He was just starting this in school so he needed help with terminology, units, and symbols. We also discussed the difference between positive and negative acceleration (deceleration) and the reason deceleration is negative.
