I am current student pursuing a career in Biomedical Engineering. I graduated Nassau Community College as a Summa Cum Laude with a 3.94 GPA with an Associates in Science. I am currently working on earning my Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering at City College of New York where I currently have a 3.90 GPA. I tutor Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Calculus 2. My favorite one to teach is algebra because I believe it is the foundation where everything comes from. I am just happy to be able to help other students better understand math and hopefully help them see that it is not just random numbers. As an aspiring engineer, I see applications of mathematics on the daily and I would love to share the knowledge that I have received with fellow students.

I'm currently an undergraduate at Yale University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English. While I am most passionate about English Literature, I tutor a wide range of subjects, including SAT and ACT Prep, High School Level Math, and French Language.Over the past few years, I've become truly passionate about teaching. In high school, I worked as a private tutor for a middle school student. Since starting college, I've taught a seminar every semester to local high schoolers on "Sample-Based Hip-Hop." Both of these experiences have been incredibly fulfilling and have taught me a lot about the inner-workings of good pedagogy. I believe that the foundation of teaching is strong communication and empathy. As such, I think it is important to get to know each student not only as a student but as an individual. I adapt my teaching style depending on the interests, needs, and unique perspective of each student.In my free time, I host a radio show with a couple friends where each week we share music around a central theme. I also love to write and produce my own music, and I work as an audio engineer for my college recording studio.

I specialize in test prep, writing help, and middle/high school mathematics.I believe it is crucial to approach learning through the lens of familiar subjects, rather than diving into something new without any relation to it; the mind is only able to absorb new information on basis of past experience.In the same way, I approach my students not as an authority figure, but rather as someone who has been in their proverbial shoes. With this mindset, I care deeply about my students' well-being as individual human beings, not as mere test-takers or information absorbers.Outside of academics, I am a sound engineer, an avid Game of Thrones fan, and a basketball aficionado.

I have been a high school teacher for seven years, as a social studies teacher, a science teacher, and most of all a special education teacher. My passion is working with teenagers and college students, but I have also tutored elementary school students and worked in a kindergarten classroom. I have worked extensively with students who have Asperger Syndrome, Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cognitive Disabilities.Before I taught, I worked part-time at the Office of Undergraduate Admission @ Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). I am also a proud alumnus of NU, and enjoyed my time there tremendously.Over the past two years, I have worked with almost 30 high school students on the ACT in my own private practice. I have graduated from Rice University and will be starting medical school at Virginia Tech Carilion this fall (2022). In my gap year, I was a research enrollment analyst at Baylor Scott and White Health in Texas working at the cardiology department. I have a keen interest in pediatrics and oncology. I have extensive experience tutoring, as a third year intern at Girlstart, a nonprofit organization aimed towards educating young girls in STEM subjects in order to reduce the gender gap seen in corporate America. I am most passionate about biology and chemistry. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.

At a young age, I had been exposed to the benefits of tutoring. I seemed to work at a slower pace and have a harder time understanding concepts compared to my peers. However with a tutor I found that my pace quickened allowing me to catch up. Later on in my academic career I found through tutoring others I have developed a more in depth understanding of the material, which I desire to have. By tutoring others, I am able to pay it forward and help guide those who are having difficulty, like many have help guided me. My specialization and major is Chemistry. Chemistry is easily my favorite topic although I would not consider it "easy". Understanding key concepts and fundamentals will allow others to see the depth and the amazing things chemistry can show us.I am grateful to all of those who tutored me in the past and I would like to pass it on by sharing what I have learned to others! I believe with hard work and dedication, success is inevitable.

I am a recent college graduate from the University of Oregon. I have spent the last 4 years studying pure mathematics and obtaining a physics minor.I tutor both math and physics, however, math is very much my favorite. I love to approach problems from several different angles and figure out which makes the most sense for each individual student. I also think using visual applets and allowing the student to grasp an intuitive feel can help the student become an expert test taker. I also enjoy time management strategizing. I have spent my last 4 years as a D1 acrobatics & tumbling college athlete, so I truly feel like a time management expert.In my spare time I love exploring Oregon, and traveling anywhere I get the opportunity to go.
