"I would like to acknowledge an outstanding tutor that I recently had for my Calculus 2 class. Hannah did an amazing job tutoring me and preparing me for the final exam that I had. I was failing this class and did not understand a thing learned within the course and she managed to teach me the whole class within just nine sessions. She was able to break down and simplify the concepts in order for me to understand such a hard subject. She went over and beyond in making sure I understood each and every topic of this class. She spent much time outside of the sessions we had to prepare problems and examples for us to go over and helped create a study sheet for me. Without her help, I wouldn't have passed this class and I am grateful for her time and effort she put in to help me. She displays all the attributes of a great educator and deserves to be acknowledged. I know if I am having any future problems in my classes, I will come to Varsity Tutors because they provide superior services!"

"From the parent's perspective, Wade was great to work with. He was very responsive to my emails and texts and extremely flexible when I needed him to reschedule appointments. He was always prepared and seemed engaged in the work. From my son's perspective, he thought Wade was a very good tutor. After taking his SAT, he told me he felt he had a lot more tools to use this time. He wasn't thrilled about having to work with a tutor, but he was appreciative of the opportunity and sincerely felt that Wade was very good to work with. He told me to give him your best rating!"

"We contacted Varsity Tutors when our son was having difficulty in Honors Physics. He had C’s, D’s, and F’s on tests and quizzes. Varsity Tutors matched him with a tutor who has her undergraduate degree in Physics and is working on her PhD in Engineering. We only wish we had contacted Varsity Tutors sooner. My son’s tutor is wonderful. She clearly explains the concepts as well as the mathematics which accompanies this difficult subject. She is kind, patient, funny - just a well-rounded teacher. What I love is her way of teaching. She is very good in teaching him to logically break down problems he encounters, not just drilling on formulas. She always shows him multiple ways to attack a problem. She worked with our son once a week or once every other week. That was enough for him to jump to A’s and B’s on his tests. She is always on time and works with our son’s schedule. He ended the year with a high B, and more importantly, he has decided to take on AP Physics next year. We credit this to his tutor who has given him much more encouragement than his teacher. We hope she can work with him throughout the coming year."
