We moved on to review problems in his textbook and did review problems from chapters 7-10. We also discussed strategies for studying such a large amount of material and pattern recognition in order to quickly move through problems. He will focus his studying this weekend on learning the general reactions covered in these chapters and the reagents used, and use these as clues to solve the problem. Overall he understands the material well and is very good at identifying complex chemicals.

We also reviewed the reaction of conjugated dienes.
