"Today, I met the student for the first time. We covered Lorentz Transformation between two coordinate systems moving with respect to one another. He had just had the lecture for the problems we worked, but he hadn't worked any of the problems himself yet. I showed him the matrix method for writing a Lorentz Boost in preparation for taking higher level physics coursework, and he seemed to follow the idea brilliantly."

"The student has just started her second semester of physics, and she has begun studying electricity. We focused this session on core concepts of electricity. We discussed Coulomb's Law and its implications. We talked about continuous charge distributions and using integrals to derive the electric field around an object. We also discussed basic conventions of electricity like electric field lines. She seems to have a very strong grasp on this material already and at this pace, sessions should continue to run very smoothly."
