Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"For warm-up, we had a conversation to practice past tense of verbs "to do" and "to go" by discussing the past day's and week's activities. I introduced emotions to the student. We learned how to use the verb to be + emotion to describe how one feels. We then completed a worksheet to practice matching emotions with faces. We went over the past tense conjugations of the verbs estar, tener and mandar. We reviewed restaurant vocabulary. The student was very engaged in the lesson and is able to remember 90% of new material."
"We worked on lessons 3 and 4 for his online Spanish class. We recorded the listening sections and worked on the written portion answers in order to submit them online."
"Today, the student and I reviewed conjugating stem-changing verbs, played a learning game to memorize food vocabulary, and read an article to strengthen pronunciation and annunciation."
"The focus of this session was to make sure the student was ready for his final exam. We started by conjugating all the verbs covered in his Spanish class, then we reinforced his vocabulary."
"We practiced more regular verbs -ar and -er. The student learned the conjugation forms for -ir verbs. He conjugated the verbs and translated sentences from English to Spanish. He needed help with some other words in the sentences, but was good with the verb forms. I haven't seen any grades. He needs to sit down and memorize the forms, but he's starting to remember some, just by lots of practice. I told him to study the verbs and verb forms."
"Today we focused mainly on conversational skills while integrating culture. We practiced live scenarios."
