Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We did mostly redox reactions today. The student was pretty clear about the basics in redox reactions such as half reaction and balancing. She requested clarification of the reducing agent and oxidizing agents, and she mastered the topic after we practiced several equations. We finished up by introducing some hard balancing equations. She learned my method pretty well, and she is able to solve those on her own now."
"We started working with some long division. We moved on to review some of the student's old APES homework that she wanted to go over. Some of these problems included unit conversions and mathematically setting up word problems. At the end of the session, she began working on her math review work."
"The student and I worked on ionic and covalent bonding to prepare for her upcoming midterm on January 29th. We also covered dot diagrams and properties of polar and nonpolar covalent bonding. She seemed confident in her work and understood difficult concepts easily. We will continue to work in the next coming weeks to prepare for the test."
