"Today, we focused almost entirely on the student's Puerto Rico presentation for Spanish class. We worked on perfecting the script that he wrote for his presentation, and then recording the script accurately. He did an excellent job on the script on his own, and with my tweaks I believe he has something excellent for his final assignment. He also made good progress with his elocution - he can keep practicing speaking Spanish out loud to improve his pronunciation."
"Since the student sent me the composition that I had corrected and sent back we went over it again since she had made some of the corrections. We also went over the worksheet which had been giving her trouble. After explaining the errors and what she was missing she was beginning to get it and could do the Adverbial clause in the Subjunctive. In addition, worked on the pluscumperfecto giving her some sentences to translate into Spanish. She has a test tomorrow and needed for me to go over the Infinitive as an object of the verb. The student has been progressing and today she was much more confident in the mastery of the material. She will let me know when to meet again next week. Her final is at the end of April so I told her to, after the exam tomorrow, look at the material and let me know what are areas that she needs help with still."
"Reviewed vocabulary and grammar concepts, including a focus on prior material. Went over homework assignments for class, and additional worksheets I assigned at our last session to help with preparation for an upcoming re-take of a test. We finished the session with practice at conversation in Spanish."
"For this meeting, the student and I got to know each other and I assessed his experience level in Mandarin. He's extremely bright and has learned a significant amount already since he started taking Mandarin in fifth grade. We made quick work of the pronunciation exercises that I brought with me. He showed me some of the sites he uses for practice, and these I think will furnish good materials for us at our next meeting. Looking forward to seeing him improve!"
"I had a great lesson with the student. He was doing so well, and I can tell he has improved a lot since now he is able to make a long and correct sentence in Chinese. When we were doing the examples, he showed that he can expand the sentence in his own way and it was correct. I am so happy to see that."
"It was the first session with the student. We went over the materials he used (online Chinese course). We then reviewed what he learned recently and explained grammar, words, and strokes. Strategies about how to proceed were discussed."
